It’s that time just after the long and winding school year ends where we in DTLT push for a few more days to pull off our favorite conference known as Faculty Academy. This is my 11th FA, but the last few years have been the shining ones not just because of the great speakers we get, but for the amazing ways that faculty have taken to new media technoligies. The UMW New Media Center will attempt to showcase some of the ways faculty have implemented new media in their teaching in the coming year. If you get the chance we will be streaming the activities from the main hall live, which will include a keynote from James Boyle, and plenaries from Cole Camplese and Laura Blankenship. It will also include the entertaining Deck Wars as well as an unpredictable debate about whether the CMS is dead with Jim Groom and John St. Clair. Hope you can join us!
