   What is New Media?

   Well, part of the answer is here, and some more discussion is here. My belief is that New Media means that you have control. With inexpensive and relatively easy to use tools, you can publish a book, create your own documentary, or short film, publish a robust website, or create your own audio (podcast) or video (webcast) broadcast. This site will point you to the many tools out there to help you accomplish all of those things.

   The UMW Libraries (either Fredericksburg or Stafford campus) are where you go to check out A/V equipment. Go to the "Available Technology" page to see what the options are.
